My kids are too young now (4 and 18 months), but we live an hour away from Disneyland,CA. So maybe next summer we will go if the kiddos are ready. Yet still one day we will go to Disneyworld because that’s one of my greatest memories of my childhood.

worth it, but this place is crazy. magic kingdom can hold 100,000 people and it feels like they follow you all over… very impressive. everything works great here, but food service sucks.

this spring! I am not paying for it, so that makes it all the more achievable! :)
lowrain is changing up her life a bit
This cost a bundle – even in the value period – but it was SO fun. Be sure to bring a princess dress if you have a girlie daughter. Check for the value period if you plan to stay on resort, and DO BUY THE MEAL PLAN. This is what cost us so much – we didn’t. We would’ve saved money.
My husband’s boss mentioned a conference at Disney this October and we are going to try and do a double duty thing.
There was not much info about exactly where the conference was on the property at that time we have to check up on that. And we have to see how we can collect enough air miles for the rest of us to go by plane.
Yeah! We got this done. It was a great trip. We were pleasantly surprised at the lack of ultra gouging for items within the Parks, but found that reservations not just for Character meals – opportunities for your kids to meet the characters ‘the flesh and take pix with them at their restaurant table are a must to book at least one month in advance in the off season.’ Loved everything about Coronado Springs hotel except the basic restaurant concept which will soon be upgraded.
My 4-year old was a little bummed out that there were so many coasters she was too physically small for, and since my 7 year old was a fearless coaster fiend, – go figure as she is a slip of thing – We plan to go back in three years when my younger girl is 7.
So I guess I better start saving. I haven’t actually sat down and costed anything out but we are a family of four so I figure we’ll need about $5,000. I’m completely guessing but I can always make adjustments as I go. I really don’t think I could go with a higher budget so if anything, adjustments will be about economizing. So, I did some number crunching based on a budget of $5,000. If we were to go in a year in half I would have to save $70.00 a week (HA!), in two and half: $43.00 (better but still HA!), in three and half: $30.00 (much better but it’s still HA!) See, we don’t have any money. We really need to get a better handle on our finances – this should be one of my 43 things. This goal might become a real motivator to my other goal of quitting smoking. I’m likely smoking my trip away. I really don’t want to wait longer then 3 and half years so I guess I aiming for October 2010. I like the idea of going in October cause hopefully it won’t be so hot. For now, I will do my best to start saving.
I am a single mom of 7 or at least close to being single. My significant other is currently incarcerated. I have a job however with all of my bills and 7 mouths to feed its hard for me to save. 8 if you consider my dad is also staying with me he sits for me while I am working. Commissary and lawyers fees are also a part of my responsibilities. Most of all anytime packages are offered its to a family of 4. Anything else is crazy. I’d like as much advise as possible. Anything to help me get my kids to disneyworld they deserve it.
