hike the inca trail

We’re shooting for August/September 2010. That’s about it right now.

I will be traveling to Peru in August to do this. :)

A went to Peru on my own, hoping to not only experience the history, culture and wildlife, but also to ‘get away from it all’ and escape the safety of my usual life. The Inca Trail was definitely one of the highlights for me, as was the Amazon Jungle. Peru’s locals are the friendliest I’ve encountered – they definitely helped make my trip absolutely unforgettable.

This was such an incredible trip. I went to Peru for 3 weeks by myself for a whirlwind tour. I dusted off my years of Spanish study and managed not to confuse too many people. If anyone gets a chance to hike the inca trail, jump at it. Who knows how much longer it will be open to the public.

Meeting my sister and doing Peru for 3 weeks… it will be fabulous. I seriously need to train, though. I don’t want it to be a miserable experience.

I’ll wait until my daughter is old enough to share the experience with me and my partner

The 4 day trek is fabulous..a little tiring but so worth it!
