would not ever do it again. They are dumb, and they are fast.
I did this when my brother and I went to South Africa a few years back. So fun.
You have to sit on their backs with your legs under their wings and cross your ankles over one another at the front and then hold on to their wings.
They are sort of fluffy but boney at the same time.
Ostriches run increadibly fast and are virtually impossible to stear so just hold on tight and enjoy the ride =)
Wanted to do this ever since I saw Swiss Family Robinson. I’m afraid I’m probably a little to big now though.
at first i thought this sounded funny as, but now tat i think about it, i saw an ostrich once. it was really angry looking and i was scared to even go near it. this isn’t practical. i am scared of these evil animals!!
They have BAGS over their heads!
I rode an Ostrich on a farm in Zimbabwe. They’re pretty fast and not very steady, but it was a blast. They put the bags over their heads so they can’t tell what you’re doing and freak out. Once you’re on it, though, they take the bags off and the Ostrich freaks out and starts running (like they’re trying to get away from you). Its bumpy and fast and exciting. I highly recommend it!
i used to kid about this, and then i found out it’s actually a possibility. everyone thinks i’m crazy for this one, but hey.
from what i’ve heard, it involves an ostrich farm, a bag over their head, and hoping the bugger doesn’t kick you to death along the way.
sounds like my idea of a party.

Grainne asks,
“Does anyone know where you can actually do this. And do you have to be little? They seem to have such fragile legs!”
