go to seminary

Well, it’s not the seminary but it is in line with my desire to serve God and the Church. That’s right, I was accepted to the Master of Arts in Theology program at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

After much prayer and discernment, God has helped me to find my vocation in life, marriage. I still feel a strong desire to work with the Church and to serve God’s people. I’m not sure what path this will take but I will continue to pray that God lead me along the way.

I’m just trying to get the financial aide together, and waiting for my lease to be up.

Then… I’m out.

I was accepted to my top choice… and they are willing to pay my way!

I’m at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC with my new husband. :-)

It’s a lot of hard work but I’m learning so much. It’s definitely worth it.

I’m only starting to discern this call to serve God, so I don’t really know where I’ll end up. I’m scheduled to meet later this week with a spiritual advisor and I’m hoping to get his input on the matter.

at one time I really wanted to go to (I think this was the name of it….) “Westminster Theological Seminary”. It’s a very beautiful campus, and I admire the fact that they still follow the Reformation Movement.

I fell in love with how the campus looked. And I loved all the old, staunch, rich reformed historical culture there, from when I last read the pamphlet they sent me long ago.

I’ve chosen the seminary I want to attend. Southeastern Seminary in North Carolina. :) I am SO excited. I’ve already gone to visit the campus and I love it. My boyfriend and I will be traveling to NC again in November to visit NCState because he is interested in their graphic design program. The plan is to move in the summer of 2008. That means I have a year to get everything ready. :) Exciting!!

I would love to go to seminary, I am just not sure where God is calling to go. I have done a lot of searching but am not exactly sure what to look for in a good seminary. I want to get into deep theological study.
