MeganOctober Ballard Art, Burlesque, Clothes and Makeup Walk
Last night was perfect art walk weather. Just cool and rainy enough to keep the crowds at a nice level, and some of the tiny studios that are stifling in the summer at a reasonable temperature.
I decided that the open container law shouldn’t apply to art walks, so we could walk all around with our cups of wine that the nice galleries seemed more than happy to refill.
This art walk had more than just the traditional galleries, because most of the shops feature an artist as well. So, one garden-type store had handmade clothes(an item of which I was happy to relieve them of) and cool jewelry, then the cute girls at the salon down the street offered to do our makeup when we were in there checking stuff out. Then the culmination of the evening was the burlesque show at the Sunset. Add to that a great dinner at La Carta de Oaxaca and it was the perfect Saturday art walk evening! 7 years ago
