Poor father or poor child?

There is no substitute for unconditional love. Though my father reveals in my personal accomplishments as some glorious extension of himself, that does not mean he loves me. He does not even respect my choices or opinions. Accepting that he will never find validity in my spirit without antiquated, conventional achievements, is one of the most profound personal revelations I ever contrived. Ladies and gentlemen, if your dad is not ‘happy’ do not undergo the painful and futile struggle to change his mood. It simply is not worth it.
