2 Days Free in Oregon Provide Opportunity 10 months ago

I have a job in North Portland that should finish in the afternoon of the last Monday in January, but I don’t have to fly down to Ontario until Wednesday afternoon, so I think I will take the opportunity to drive to Shasta and back. I can’t see spending the two days flying to NOLA just to turn around and fly to California.

California and beyond. Once I did the whole drive with only me driving and my 4 sons with me. Talk about driving on prayers.

Goin back to Cali...Cali...Cali... 2 years ago

I loved the drive. Mount Shasta! Bumpin, windows down, coffee/munchies, SHOOT…some of my favorite memories were my road trips between Oregon and Cali.

I’m going to start learning how to drive within the next few weeks, so it looks like this is definitely becoming a possibility :)

Why Not? 3 years ago

To drive to California, passing through everything I can think of. Listening to my favorite music, with a good friend by my side, laughing, crying, screaming, talking, joking, relaxing, being crazy, enjoying the beauty of life and living and just having an absolutely wonderful time….

So, I have been thinking, and this needs to happen. I need to make money then: drive to California with the windows down nearly the whole time, naps in the wide open scary desert, and sleep in on the ground & in tents & people’s living room floors, be dirt poor & plain old dirty & smile an awful lot, and then reach the pacific ocean & clean myself up in it. laurel canyon, san francisco, LA, san diego, santa ana, anaheim, huntington beach, etc etc: i need to see you again. I need to learn to appreciate life and this land. man what better way than this?
