I am marking this off for now becuase my job has changed considerably in the last year or so. I am enjoying it more and a lot of negative people have left and the atmosphere has changed. I have been offerd a position for the next couple of months to help with a special project that I am excited about. It will help streamline a program we use. It has a more flexible schedule and I can work on my own. I am incredibly grateful for this chance. I am thankful to have the job that I do have. It has allowed me to learn a lot of new things and it has let me afford to do many things I want to do such as travel. I have seen myself working more as a freelancer of some sort with the ability to work from anywhere in the world and who knows I still may get that job in the future but for right now I am with the job that fits my lifestyle right now. 9 months ago

I am still looking for what my dream job will be. I have made the goal of joining the peace corp in 3 years. In the meantime it has been a little over a year since I stepped down and two months ago we had some personnel changes and the environment has become a little bit more relaxed. Since working on my goal of stopping complaining things are getting better as well. It is a secure job that I am very appreciative of and working on doing it to the best of my ability while I look for the one of my dreams. 12 months ago

I am continuing to research. I am reading a great book called making a living without a job. I am really enjoying it. I still have to read the 4 hour work week as well. 13 months ago

I applied for a part time position in another dept.It will give me time away from my current monotony and could lead to a full time position why I still look for my dream job.
Update: I did not get the position which was probably a good thing because they announced they were opening up a new office halfway across the country and the department would be going there. People either had to relocate or find a different job. 15 months ago

I have a job, a good job, even a job I am enjoying very much.. but.. the thing is it is a term position, meaning the job ends in just a matter of a few months. So I’ve begun to look for another position. I hate the fact I’m forced to look for another position, (I love, love, love where I am!) but it is just the way it is. I have excellent references from my current employers, so that is a huge plus, I suppose.
So I’ve started the job search and so far (yay!) 2 out of the three positions I’ve applied for, have invited me to an interview. 22 months ago

I took a look at The Art institute of Portland today. Graphic design certianly looks interesting. I asked about working from home and they said it was about 50/50 but most people eventually go to work for companies for the benefits. It looks like a really intense program so I don’t think I would want to work a full time job while going to school. 23 months ago

Today I saw an article on how to make money blogging. I am also going to take a class on word press. Even if I don’t do this as a full time job I think I will blog eventually.
I also have an appointment next week for a tour of the Art Institute of Portland. I am going to talk to the admissions person about the graphic design program. 2 years ago
