How I did it: Ironing always seemed like a terrible waste of time to me because I generally wear jeans and t-shirts, but that overlooks the fact that it can be a quite relaxing activity in and of itself. 


That is to say, one should not look at the benefit as flattened clothes and weigh it against the cost of the time spent doing it, rather, one should consider the act itself as a pleasant and soothing way to wind down. removing creases from things is surprisingly therapeutic.

I don't think this bodes well for the "write a short story" goal. I might have to remove that.

    not a task that you can really tick off for ever... 2 years ago

    but my current basket of stuff is completed before the next basket of stuff is dry, and I will hurriedly tick this off the list before it dries and I am forced to add it to the pile.

    Anyway I have enough underwear and work stuff for the meanwhile, and that’s the main thing – plus I don’t have to dig in a slatternly fashion in the clean laundry in order to decide what I’m wearing today. Nyah.

    well, it’s a never-ending task unfortunately. I’ll count this as done once I’ve finished the current basket-full – still only half-way there at the moment. Don’t add more to it, self!
