How to find a role model by xToujours

"I just opened my eyes, and found her right in front of me!"

How I did it: I figured that the person that I chose to be my role model should be someone that I know quite a lot about already. After all there would be no point in choosing a celebrity or model (as I was tempted to do), since there is no way that any knowledge  gathered on them would be anything better than general. 

My choices, then, were narrowed down to people in my life, or people that readily made personal information available to the public.
Now, I love my family and friends, but I know most of them too well to be under the impression that any of them are perfect. It made me uncomfortable to think of modeling myself after anyone too close to me, since it felt almost like 'copying'.  
So, I tuned to the internet. I was looking for someone interesting, vibrant, confident, funny...and a slew of other things. After poking around various lifestyle blogs and artist's sites, I found her.
Her site is called iCing. Her name, Gala Darling.

She is a marvelous blogger, and very inspirational. Like me, she has also suffered with eating issues and overcome them through her own unique brand of therapy.
She also introduced EFT to me, and I have been using it ever since.


Lessons & tips:

  • don't chose someone you can never truly study.
  •  open your eyes! look in unexpected places
  • no one ever said that your mom can't be your hero :)

    I will pick my own…Nobody is perfect…so I will just hand pick a simplified and yet perfect model…a simplified model is more effective than a real human since it will eliminate unnecessary complications…
