get a permanent Job

I am currently a temporary high school teacher and I want to find a permanent position, so I can put down some roots.

Vuelvo a dictar clases… Eso me tiene feliz.

Estoy cansada de tener que buscar trabajo siempre que llegan las vacaciones! Quiero terminar el año con un trabajo estable, que me permita no únicamente tener planes, sino además, pagar un seguro médico que valga la pena.

I like temping and have always done so, mainly because I get bored in jobs and if they are permanent I have the “oh my god this is my life for ever” syndrome. I like seeing and learning new and different things, meeting different people (and avoiding others). But my partner is sick of me temping (I dont know why as it pays more than permanent work where I live) and says I need to grow up and get a permanent job. I guess if I do that, it will a stable thing in my life and I can perhaps look outside of work to find “different things”.... which I rarely do.

many resumes sent, 2 interviews today, 2 more next week.

Two interviews this week although not in my field. But potentially cool. Yikes!

On friday I finally got to talk with my boss about the terms of my contract, and as soon as the temp agency let me go of my contract with them I am a full-time employee of Acta Asset Management :)

Got an offer last week, gonna accept it on wednesday :)

I enjoy being a temp, I really do. I like the flexibility. I like the excitement of having a new job every so often. I like the opportunities to see how different companies/departments work. I like the experiences I’m gaining. On the other hand, it’s hard to not have stability.
