How I did it: Just woke up early when we were camping at the beach, and went and sat there with my big jumper and just watched. All the different colours, and clouds, it's magical. Be warned though, it takes longer than you expect...

    I convinced my boyfriend to go with me to watch the sun come up on the beach in South Carolina over spring break. Sitting there cuddled under a blanket, we watched the sun come up over the ocean and through the clouds. Gorgeous.

    I used to live by a gorgeous beach. I saw my share of incredible sunsets, but sunrises are a whole different kettle of fish.

    Sunsets are an ending. Sunrises are a new beginning.

    Sadly the nearest beach to me now is made of mud, shingle, and pollution. I’m going to have to travel for this!

    My favorite thing ever. I want to do this again, I haven’t for a long time. Every time I’m at the ocean, I’m never there at sunset by circumstance. Except now I want to do it at Chile, or Mexico, or some place in the mediterranean.

    It is so amazing to see the sun rise over the ocean. I did this at Montauk Point and it was an incredible experience. It feels as if you are at the end of the earth and you are seeing the true dawn of the day. As close as I’ve been to a spiritual experience.
