Be a good neighbor and help build a sense of community

I was thinking of starting a “group” on Yahoo or google and seting it up for the block I live on and the following one. So for like two blocks the neighborhood would have the opportunity to sign up on the group and use the email options etc to communicate. I will make a flier to take to each home and leave it on the door or give it to them ring the neighbors more together not the opposite because it is through the computer. Of course there are those older folks who do not even have a computer but I think that is a small amount of neihbors. I am not sure how good of an idea this is as people can be very private and they may not participate… but who knows I guess until we try.
