I started off thinking we could do this for our 5th! Suddenly our 20th doesn’t seen so far away. I’m not sure how far ahead I can book with our travel agent but I shall look into it sometime soon.

....I’m thinking of starting a secret savings account.
I reckon we’d need about £6000 for all of us to go. Over 2 and half years that would be about £200 a month. Hmmm, not sure if that’s realistic.
Now if we could convince my parents to have the children while we have a ‘second honeymoon’ we’d only be looking at around £3000. £100 per month is probably more doable.

...hmmmmm….floating in the crystal clear water watching the fish swim by…lounging on the sundeck…basking in the heat…exotic cocktails and the freshest seafood imaginable.
Sadly it’s going to be a loonnnnggg time before I get to go back. I was really hoping we might be able to for our 10th anniversary in 3 years time but now we have Emma we’ll be looking at even more money!
Oh well, we’ll see closer to the time and until then I’ll just be daydreaming….bare feet in white sand…lizards skitting across the deck… and the brightest stars I’ve ever seen….hmmmmmm.

But I am going back there!

My husband and I went to the Maldives for our honeymoon and we had the most amazing holiday we have ever had. The whole experience seemed like a fantasy – it was truly a paradise island – we felt like we should be in a Bounty advert!
We promised ourselves that we would return there for our 5th wedding anniversary. Somehow the years have flown by and in 2 months we will be celebrating our 5th wedding anniversary! We talked about it tonight and realised that our dream of returning is not realistic at the moment.
Firstly it would cost us a minimum of £4000 with both the children and we can’t afford that at the moment. Also it really would be too hot for Little Jimmers and we think he would appreciate a lot more when he can swim.
So we;ve decided that we will probably have to wait until our 10th wedding anniversary – then K will be 16 and Jimmers will be 7. Also it gives us time to get saving!
(By the way – the photo is the actual island where we stayed – Meeru Island)
