My vocabulary is still expanding, including my academic vocabulary. I am going to practice speaking more, because I want my sentences to flow more naturally.
How I did it: Rabbi Sherman told me about a class that is being taught and I am really enjoying it. Our teacher is Reesa who lived on a Kibutz in Israel for 10 years. She's a wonderful teacher and I feel a part of this class.
Lessons & tips: Keep looking and asking.
Resources: Aleph Isn't Tough (Book available through the Union for Reform Judaism)

I am taking many Hebrew classes this semester. Hopefully it will help.

For now, I will just do this by doing well in Hebrew class. I will spend a little of my spare time reading, listening to music, watching one clip on YouTube, and looking up words. My Hebrew needs to be perfect for grad school.

I used to be the Adult Hebrew Class teacher at my synagogue, because of all the adults I read it best, but by no means well. I can translate with a lot help from a Ivrit/English Dictionary, but not well yet.

I got Hebrew keyboard stickers for my keyboard. Not only does my keyboard look awesome, but I can type faster too! I even know where the vowels are!

I have been spending my time watching Israeli movies, listening to music, and reading the Israeli news feeds that I have added both to my Gmail web clips and to my iGoogle page.I will take an intermediate Hebrew course this semester. I am excited to make progress!

I mean, it wouldn’t hurt to improve my reading, but I don’t want to mess with the speaking because that will ruin my Arabic.

I’m done writing poems in my journal for the moment. They have served their purpose (to calm me down, to improve my Hebrew, to explore the language, and to do something imaginative). The project has resulted in 48 poems I am proud of, and at least 19 additional ones I liked less. That’s around 70 poems.
I think this was a good journey, and I’m looking forward to next year.
