find a fun job

Well, my husband found a job that is pretty close to exactly what he wants to do. This means we are moving to Mississippi.

Could my dream job exist there? I will be searching for a non-profit, teaching and writing type of job. I’ll probably end up working at a library or bookstore. I am praying that it won’t be so hard to find a job, period, down there….I’m pretty anxious about all of this.

That is what I want to be able to say. My husband and I are moving to Nashville, TN. We have been living in the middle of nowhere in the North GA mountains, and I’m very excited for the change.

I haven’t actually worked in the 8 months that we’ve lived here. First of all, there are no jobs in the middle of nowhere. Second, we moved here to take care of my mother-in-law (who recently lost her battle with cancer). So, this is a new beginning. My husband is starting an internship to finish his doctorate degree. That is how we are ending up in Nashville.

Anyway, I digress…the point of this entry is that I want to find a great job in this new city. I want to do something that I will be proud of. I want to work with great people, who appreciate me. I want to do something creative. I don’t want to work in a stuffy office atmosphere, nor do I want to be a secretary/admin assistant to anyone. I just don’t know what this dream job would really be. Any suggestions are welcome.
