we’ll see…exams are this week. the only thing i don’t have a good grade in is physics..which it totally kicking my ass. if i don’t complete this goal, i’ll try harder next semester, but i’m hoping i’ll accomplish it this semester.
How to get a 3.5 gpa this semester
How I did it: Honestly, hard work is the only way to do this. I am in the middle of a graduate program, and I have never - EVER - gotten all A's. I was teaching full time and going to school full time, so I'm actually a little suprised. One class especially had me concerned because the professor had never returned a graded piece of work, but It all turned out well.
Lessons & tips: When the mid-term rush was over, I let things slide a little because I figured I deserved a break (and I did - writing over 200 pages will do that to you). But I missed a few deadlines because I let myself go a little bit. Luckily, my professors were kind about late assignments, but if they weren't, that's what would have killed me.
Resources: 43 Things actually helped me out by motivating me to take care of this.
Studying at Borders and the library got me out of the house.
Seattle's Best and Starbucks kept me awake through most of the semester.

I feel like I am sabataging my own progress here. I was doing so well, and I am hitting the end, and I am having some trouble making myself do the required work. I only have 2 more weeks, and at this point I’ll be satisfied with a 3.00

Since I am a grad student, figuring out grades is a bit more difficult, but I’d say I am on track. I’ve only missed 2 small assignments (in different classes) and the only thing I am disappointed in is my low midterm score in ESOL III. Oh well. Here’s to hoping that my crazy work will pay off by the end!!!
review early, do assigned hwk, try to be genuinely interested in topic, seek help when I need it, and pray like hell during exam times.
