LucyPur is ready for tomarrow!
I always want to go. boogie down and tune out! Was the Mars Volta there last year?
How I did it: It takes bravery, and the willigness to lay down some cash for an experience worth every penny. Your life will change, but you must be ready to go out in the world and meet new people. The easiest place to start in bonnaroo.com, but I found tickets were much cheaper through craigslist. I fell in love at Bonnaroo, with Bonnaroo ---and you can too. Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was dirty and disgusting and the most fun I have ever had. Think of going somewhere where you shower in a sink, have only three responsibilities Eat, Sleep and Rock out. DO IT!!! Read how I did it…

Um, this is next week. I am so beyond NOT prepared to go. All of my camping stuff is in California. And I haven’t even considered the logistics of food, booze, and recreation. It was so much easier when I drove to these festivals and all this wasn’t an issue. Flying makes a host of things hard to bring.
I guess I should also tell my jobs that I’m gonna be gone for a bit.

My friend Austin is coming with me on Alex’s ticket. He’s a vegetarian, too, so that will make shopping more fun. Larabars! Grilled cheese on the campfire stove! The only thing is he doesn’t have a driver’s license so I need to find someone who does or I will be doing all the driving… The ridefinder section on the Bonnaroo page is a mess. Apart from Craigslist, I don’t know how to find strangers! Suggestions? I’ll be leaving from MD, by the way…

Is anyone interested in purchasing it from me? I might give you a discount if you give me a reason.
I really need some more adventure in my life. This is my last summer as an undergrad, I have some extra (not much, but whatever!) cash.. why not? I’ll be going with Arielle who has been before and absolutely loved it. I love camping, hippies, music, beer, weed, road trips.. so its pretty much guaranteed to be a good time!

None of my friends go to Bonnaroo. It is really something that was Alex-specific. I wonder how he would feel if we still went together. I want to go (because who wouldn’t want to see Girl Talk) but… maybe I should let him have it and sell my ticket to one of his friends.

My friend showed me an aerial shot of the campground for Bonnaroo…JIMINY CHRISTMAS!
I foresee a lot of B.O. and nekkid people…and drugs.

I had to get them on a payment plan but at least I got them!! I am excited for Bruce, Snoop, Toubab Krewe, Girl Talk… There are so many good muziks playing and I am going with my boyfriend, who went last year, so hopefully my first experience will be really good. He said last year they didn’t bring enough food and they had no shade.
Does anyone else have recommendations based on previous experience?
