I have had it since i was a lil kipper and a few yeas ago it improved dramatically so, as one does, i became extremely lazy and stopped taking care of myself. stopped drinking the 2 litres of water needed, raw fruits n veggies (non-eczema flaring ones of course :) and most of all ceased all supplements (flaxseed, evening primrose). well, this past year it all came back with a vengeance…what did i expect after months of soft drinks, chocolates, desk job with no other exercise?!
anyhooo is not completely gone by any means but is defo under control… i got back on the flaxseed capsules (cant stress how important these are), water and i became reacquainted..a bit more fruit n veg plus getting more active and destressing. Yoga’s a really good one btw.. i never used to believe the hype but i do feel more relaxed after a sesh. and to remind me am not to slip in to old habits again i get flare-ups much more easily now so will sort myself out as soon as.
yes it would be nice to say sod it and not have to worry so much but as everyone knows there’s no quick fix so best thing is to keep your eczema sweet and take that extra care
till next time :)
So I read in the newspaper that a diluted bath in bleach can help relieve eczema. Like half a cup for a full bathtub and soak in it. I wish I could do that, but my eczema is on my scalp, lol. And with brown hair, I’d prefer not to be blonde. So I’ll stick with the tar shampoo and try not to pick at it.
It all started last year when I ate a bowl of nuts, not knowing that I’m allergic to them. I’ve never ate such an amount of them at once, so I wasn’t aware. I guess this is the price I have to pay for being an ignorant.
Anyway, at first it affected my face and hands but as the time passed it started to spread and get worse. And the itching… it kills me!
HOW ARE YOU DOING? MY NAME IS SCOTT. I HAVE SCALP EZEMA. I HATE IT REAL BAD. ITS NOT THAT BAD AS PEOPLE SAY BUT I THINK IT IS.I THNK IT STARTED FROM WINGWORM, THEN IN A COUPLE OF DAYS I STARTED TO SEE THAT MY HAIR WAS MSSING IN THE BACK LEFT SIDE OF MY HEAD. I WENT TO THE DOCTOR AND HE TOLD ME THAT I HAVE SCALP EZEMA. WHEN THE DOCTOR TOLD ME THAT I HAD SCALP EZEMA HE GAVE ME STEROID CREAM WHICH DIDNT HELP PERIOD. I STARTED TO RESEARCH ON HOW TO GET RID OF THE SCALP EZMA AND I CAME UP ON THIS ARTICLE ON GOOGLE ABOUT TAKING OMEGA PILLS. OMEGA PILLS ARE KNOW AS COAD LIVER PILLS. THEY SAID IF I TAKE THE PILLS WITHIN SIX MONTHS I WILL START TO SEE SIGNES OF CHANGES IN MY SCALP. I STILL HAVENT SEEN ANY RESULTS IN THAT YET. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WILL THE HAIR GROW BACK OR WILL IT NOT? ANY ANSWERS ANY ONE?
I have eczema all my life but for the last year have been suffering from a severe outbreak. Nothing in particular seems to have caused this, although stress, tiredness, rubbish diet and living in a dust filled reenovation project have not helped.
This recent bout started last Summer and after starting on my hands spread to just about everywhere except my legs. It is so sore and unsightly and I just canlt stop scratching which keeps me awake at night. Nothing seems to help and I am sick of the steriod creams so I am battling it naturally through diet, plenty of water and sunlight and most importantly positive thinking. I read a book recently about the power of the mind which has really inspired me so toady will hopefully be the start point to better skin.

I have Eczema pretty bad. When I was in high school it was unreal but now i can keep it under control knock on wood this is how I do it.
Instead of waiting until its way out of whack start treating it the instant it starts bothering you even a little bit.
DONT SCRATCH IT! it just gets so much worse. put something cold on it. I dont know why it works but it does.
I dont know if this will work for other people but I buy over the counter hydrocortisone 1% ointment and johnson and johnson extra care healing lotion.
I take a really hot shower and dry off immediately then i put hydrocortisone on the eczema then i lotion my entire body. Then i go to bed. Since im sleeping im not scratching my eczema and it does its thing over night. After a few days it clears up. Sometimes it still flares up especially when the seasons change or when a fabric is giving me an allergic reaction. But it doesnt get as out of control as it used to.
Again. My OCD little ritual may not work for all, but everyone that ive told to do this says it feels much better later.
After reading the blogs, some had me cracking up, I got the same condition… Flaking… well its not leaking anymore, my skin is starting to look some what better after using cortizone creams but still flaking is annoying… sweeping every day. I was once a good looking guy that has been afflicted with skin doom! Might have been stress related because of things that happened. I had the condition all my life but really got bad when I turned 18.
I can’t stand this and Imma have to get a job and stuff this has to stop… figure out a cure or somethin…

Hm, so apparently I’ve had this miserable condition since I was a baby. Of coarse I don’t remember it then. All I know about it now is, when I have a “flare up” I resemble a repulsive dalmation. My arms and legs are nearly completely covered in white, itchy, flaky spots. yeah yeah, the doctor’s gave me this cream, the doctor’s gave me that cream, but I’m still speckled. I shortened my showers, I moisturize like it’s going out of style, I tried eating better.. and I’m still depressed. AND might I add still wearing pants and sweatshirts in the late spring. One more thing.. If someone could explain to me.. they told me to stop tanning and so I did praying that it would have some affect.. but as soon as I stopped tanning, it only worsened. by a lot?? SOMEONE PUT A STOP TO THIS MADNESS! :) or at least help me out.
