I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to do a sit up. I’m religiously doing my crunches but am entirely unconvinced that it’s improving my stomach muscles. I suspect it’s just making them look nicer (if you could actually see htem below the lard).

Stage one of Operation Sit Up has started. I had my gym induction last night. As part of my programme I have a total of 100 various crunches plus holding your feet 1 inch off the ground while lying on your back. As part of my assessment he tested how long I could do it for – 1 minute and 15 seconds.

Sixtine is trying to remember how to navigate this website
It’s hard to believe but I’ve never been able to do a sit up – a proper feet-on-the-ground-unrestrained sit all the way up. Not even when I did circuit training twice a week. Doing one would be a real achievement. Any advice on training welcomed.
