to thine own self be true

When I decided this was my theme of 2007 I had no idea how far reaching it would be. It seems every turn is coloured with how I have the choice in that moment to be true to myself or make a decision that I think will make others happy or impressed.

I had no idea how much I wasn’t living life for myself. It’s been painful, uplifting, a challenge and strengthening. I can’t wait to see what I think of this theme come December!

What this generally means to me is that I want to be honest with myself and live according to my values, even if it makes life more difficult.
