...with my new friend Karen. I met her by enquiring if she needed any help walking dogs (she has a website advertising her dogwalking services in my area). I met Karen and her husband and her pack of four lovely playful dogs at the cafe in the woods, and we went for a long walk round and round with the dogs.
The four dogs ( 2 border terriers, one cocker spaniel and a poodle) were an absolute delight and very entertaining. Clearly enjoying an adventurous walk off the lead. I had a really good chat with Karen about owning dogs, allergies, twins (she’s expecting), art (she’s an artist) and loads of other stuff. She also gave me some wicked pointers about setting up a website for my jewellery, and she knows someone who’s working at kentish town city farm which is something else I want to do. So all in all I’m glad that I bit the bullet and went out to meet Karen, and that she turned out to be a really interesting person and a new friend.
We are meeting in the woods to walk the dogs again on Monday, and she’s going to teach me how to use this awesome free web design tool.
I love it when life throws you something or someone new and inspiring like this.

Argh I want a dog so much, but still no- boyfriend says no, flatmate says no… who are these freaking men anyway??! lol!
Buuuut, I’ve emailed some dog walkers to see if they need any help, and a really nice lady in my area said I’m welcome to join her and her pack in the woods any weekday lunch time for some doggy fun and playtime.
So that’s pretty sweet, I might take the plunge and go to meet them today for the first time, otherwise I might get nervous (silly!!) and talk myself out of it.
Don’t want to come across as a puppy stalker (though I am one,ha!) but she seemed really nice and genuinely welcoming so obv thinks I’m ok and not too wierd!
It’s a good feeling when you want something, you take action to make it happen, and you get a good result! So I should encourage more of the same in my life!

but my b/f is still quite against us having one :( and my new flat would not be much good for anything more than quite a small dog. We do have the wood right next to us though for walks!!
Anyway I’ve been watching the dog whisperer in the meantime and learning lots about training and stuff for when the day comes in the misty future!

Finnish Lapphunds! So awesome. Or Japanese Spitz. Look like really intelligent, loyal and steady smaller dogs, and so beautiful….

... his reasoning is sound- too much responsibility, like having a child… I don’t mind, I’m so ready for that. I’m sure there’s a common ground. Living in rented accomodation at the moment, so considering a small dog and a bigger one when have land for it to really get loads of excercise or a more flexible working life to run it through the woods in the afternoon.
Am I irresponsible to just really be so up for the companionship of a dog at the age of 26??

... the more I want a dog! So badly! Met a very sweet chocolate dappled Dachshund called Itchi today. So cute, so friendly, so lovely looking, so knew it!! Haha a funny little creature.
Also met a pretty cool Alsatian on sunday evening while just chilling in the long grass on a sunny summers eve. Came chilling over to say hello, had a sniff around, went on his way.
Also Rusty, Chloe and her pups back in NZ. particularly Blue, Flossie and Tillymint. Legends. And silly little Tara the Spoodle. Sweetie.

I used to have a dog when I grew up. She was my best friend. When she died, I felt no other dog could ever replace her. Maybe now, if and when I get out of the city and live on the countryside, I will have a dog again.

I really would like this one but at the same time it is difficult to have a dog if you want to travel and have a rented house. While that, I can enjoy other people dogs :) I had a dog for 10 years in my mother’s house but the dog died. My mother doesn’t want another one as she wants to be free but I think it would be very good for here as she is living alone and complains about that.
