Even though I’ve lived at the beach my whole life I’ve never done it. Trevor and I tried once but the sleeping bag we brought with us was too small for both of us. Plus it was just too cold. Maybe we’ll try again this summer and bring a better blanket.

Ok, I made this one of my 43 things BEFORE I actually had ever been to the beach. Now, I don’t want to do that at all because it would be sandy. Very, very, sandy. And I’d conclude that it would be painful too.

still sand can be a problem, in the dunes on tussock is better you can still hear the waves and you don’t get sand in really uncomfortable places.
However doing it outside always sounds more romantic than it actually turns out to be. We had a one false start with a towel on the sand in the middle of the day plus there were people who came down and saw us. So we chose a more secluded spot in the dunes for night time effort. I love the beach so I really wanted to do this, I made damn sure she enjoyed it to.
Definately worth doing!
