From the news… the age of the Headteacher who walked into her office and hung herself. This has haunted me all day. I only heard about this yesterday. This upset me greatly. It is a tragic story and is a reflection of just how stress filled working in education is becoming. I don’t think morale has ever been so low in our place.

I don’t want to go on about this too much, but I don’t talk about this sort of thing in RL. I know I should. I’m a bottler and so I just needed to discharge this from my system. I am becoming increasingly unhappy about how things are unfolding. I’m certainly not alone in this, but it’s getting to the stage where I need to evaluate if I can happily carry on doing what I’m doing in light of where things are going. Life is just too short. And if I don’t think I can continue doing this, then what do I do instead?
