make friends at college

hardly any friends at all..junior now

Well, none of them became my best friends, but I did make some good friends to hang out with and I did get incredibly close with my roommate, who was just a casual friend before. She’s now one of my two best friends and I’m so glad to know her better!

i have 2 friends from highschool here at college but hopefully i can still make some new friends.

I am in college and i already made one friend while i was here, but i think that i need to make an effort and make new one’s because i’m very shy and don’t talk very much, and i still haven’t found any other friends who share that same interests that i have.

what are the shy people to do…?

Things are still certainly far from perfect at this school or with these friends. Sometimes, I still consider transferring. But I don’t feel so alone here anymore.

its so scary. you feel so alone and all you can do is call your friends at home and your family. i called my mom so many times and i would cry because its so hard. but it gets better! think of it this way, everyone is just like you because most of them dont know anyone either! its so true. i met someone that basically knows everyone and just from hanging out with him for one day i know a ton of people. just talk to people in your classes or go to a meeting for something. im not the hard partier type so it was tough! its hard but its possible! so dont worry! :)

I go to college in Podunk, the crappiest city south of the Mason-Dixon line. Some day I’ll find people here who aren’t braindead or alcoholic. But in the meantime, it’s kinda lonely.

At the moment it is really hard to make friends at college. Especially when people just totally ignore me and think I don’t exist.
