orienteering

I run orienteering since I was a child and I LOVE it! It’s the best sport ever! ;)

I’ve been doing orienteering since 1998 and I absolutely love it!
I love going to o-events not only because of unforgettable views in the woods (wild animals, unforgettable scenery) and mud baths, but also because of the people I’d met.

Jukolan Viesti (Jukola Relay) is the biggest orienteering event in the world, attracting about 15000 participants (and the same amount of spectators) each year to follow the seven-leg relay through a summer night in mid-June in Finland.

Lost in Pennsylvania—-the first time we went orienteering sans trails…wandering in the woods, climbing boulders…More to come.

I’m planning to go try this out in June in anticipation of the big one before 2008…

This goal is on hold until the marathon is done. (July 30th) I’ll come back for you Orienteering Goal…don’t you worry.

Dammit, I missed my first opportunity to try this thing out. There’s a bigger event in January so that will have to be my first go at the Orienteering thing. It’s work’s fault. There’s too much work right now.
