    Worth doing!

I have a collection of quotes from Shakespeare, as well as quotes from a variety of other people. I would like to put all of my quotes in a nice book. I actually do use the quotes, too. Maybe not all of them, but I try.

I’ve actually memorized Sonnets 73 and 116, but that wasn’t for this goal!

I love the sonnets...  — 2 years ago

I had to memorize two when I was in 8th grade. ‘That time of year thou may’st in me behold’ and ‘Let me not to the marriage of true minds admit impediments.’ I’m not sure of their exact numbers but…I love them.

    Worth doing!

I would like to be able to deliver things like this off the cuff …

_Now my charms are all o’erthrown,
And what strength I have’s mine own,
Which is most faint: now, ‘tis true,
I must be here confined by you,
Or sent to Naples. Let me not,
Since I have my dukedom got
    And pardon’d the deceiver, dwell
    In this bare island by your spell;
But release me from my bands
With the help of your good hands:
Gentle breath of yours my sails
Must fill, or else my project fails,
Which was to please. Now I want
Spirits to enforce, art to enchant,
    And my ending is despair,
Unless I be relieved by prayer,
Which pierces so that it assaults
Mercy itself and frees all faults.
As you from crimes would pardon’d be,
Let your indulgence set me free._
