I hope to live a life in the future where I am not encumbered with possessions and bills. I’d like to live on a boat, own a bicycle instead of a car, eat a vegan diet and live a spiritual, contemplative lifestyle: pray, meditate, & practice yoga.

I am sure this varies from person to person, my simple life might seem like a whole heap of drama for someone else. But in my world, a simpler life for me would be :-
a) more time to read
b) less urge to shop and buy things, clothes, take away coffee, small things that add up to a lot, that I pretend not to notice I buy.
c) more quality time with my family
d) less reliance on the outside world, such as no need to have a television, buy magazines, use mass produced things, no need for buying things I allow society to tell me I need.
e) more silence
f) more solitude
g) less internet time, maybe one hour a day maximum
e) no coffee in my world at all, but lots of green tea
f) time to sleep
There is more I am sure, but these are the first things I aim for in spending time doing less.

Right now…I’m thinking to move to a smaller place at the end of the summer. Less sqaure footage to heat and air condition. Less space to clean. And less rooms since my children prefer to sleep in the family room than there bedrooms. 2 bedrooms a family room and 2 bathrooms would be the ideal choice for the right price.
Just enuf for us. This 4 bedrooms 4 baths thing is just too much. I could use the extra money to save and help family and friends in a crunch too.
We’ll see but something has definately gotta change.

My goal to live live the simple life is going great. I really don’t do too much to stress myself anyway…but I have been reading self help spiritual books.
If you wanna live a simpler life, getting in tune with your spirituality is one of the best ways to find that life.
I am feeling good, although in a spiritual journey you find out a lot about yourself and you have to deal with the ugliness of it all and it hurts…but the submitting to awareness, then change is worth the reward attained.
Whooo weee! I like that…that’s a catchy little rhyme…change…attained…I’ll have to write that one down and save it for another time…LOL!!!

I want to live a simpler life…
1. My husband and I plan to scale down our housing. Meaning: Move to something much cheaper. We have a lot of room in our 4 bedrooms 4 baths but no money.
2. I would like to move to some open land in the country where we can maybe get a few chickens, garden and learn to can seasonal fruits.
3. Pay off debt.
4. Cook more homemade meals…not frozen or from the box.
5. Sew me and my daughters clothing. At least the skirts…which sounds like it’s not as hard as maybe making a shirt.
