How I did it: I didn't set myself unrealistic goals - I allowed myself one McDonalds a month and I found this easy to keep to. By distracting myself whenever temptation arose (:D) for instance by going further into town to wander around the shopping centre when I had time to kill and by trying harder to catch an earlier train, I managed to stop myself from going in there any more. My school and dance studio are right by Mc Donalds! IM ADDICTED! I NEED SOMEONES HELP!
I made my NYE Resolution to not eat McDonalds for a year…it did wonders for my body and because I was young I got very little acne during the year. DO IT!

I think I’ve only eaten this a few times over the summer – once at 1am with my friends in an airport (where technically I wasn’t buying but I did steal a lot of chips from the mate that did. And some burger.) a similar time at the cinema with a friend who’d bought some which I also ingested rather a lot of, and once myself, also on a cinema trip with a group of friends.
I’m fairly certain I’ve managed to keep this to once a month, though the last two may have occured in the same month, I can’t really remember. Still, three times in four months isn’t actually that bad.
The real test is coming up though, I’m about to start college again and so will likely be stuck in my connection town for forty five minutes every afternoon and rather than freezing to death on a platform will want to go somewhere warm.
So lets see if I can keep it up.

And when I was doing so well…
I managed to go to a diner at a time I would have previously gone to McDonalds (woo!), but broke down a few days later when all of the food in Hoboken looked gross (boo!).
I’m still trying, and that’s a good thing! I’ve gotten to the point where thinking of McDonalds is no longer an exciting thing, and can occasionally gross myself out before I eat too much of it.

They put drugs in the meat, I’m convinced. I stayed away for a solid two weeks, but then I needed food on the go and it was convenient. I compromised by getting chicken nuggets, since I don’t think the chickens are mass produced in the rainforest. But, the other day, I was hung over and needed McDonalds like no other so I got some. :(
Posting this entry is helpful because now I’m able to track it down and limit it much easier.

I’m conflicted here, because I really enjoy the taste and texture of their food, yet they rip up the rainforest to give me a burger. As much as I would like to say that my desire to cease deforestation in developing rainforest nations is strong, my will is weak when it comes to a double-hamburger. :(

I’ve only eaten this once since I decided over a month ago to give it up. And I hadn’t eaten it for around a month before that. I did say in the task I was allowed it once a month, so I’m pretty pleased with myself that I’ve only eaten it once.
I’m going to try and keep this up until the end of term.

Done!!! 3 weeks and all I had is 1 strawberry sundae and one small sweet tea, no fast food!

Okay, so I don’t eat this too often, but it’s more than I should. Haven’t recently, but it’s been something like maybe once or twice a week since I started college, due to the massive gap between trains on my way home, which I choose to fill by stuffing my face.
Well. Not any more.
I’m not going to say never, but I’m going to limit it to just once a month, at least to start. I haven’t had any yet this month, so that’s cool. And I’ll fill the time I have with things like window-shopping, etc.
Besides, as soon as summer comes it won’t be horrible to have to stand on the freezing cold platform for half an hour at a time, either.
