Make A Cook Book 5 months ago

A cookbook is fun to make because you can cook with your family and record your recipes so others can recreate the recipes again and again

Collecting Recipes 6 months ago

The bad thing about wanting to do a cookbook is…

Everyone is very busy at this time of year. I may need to gather the recipes now and continue this project.

I wonder where I can purchase recipe cards.

Apple Cookbook 7 months ago

I would like to create a bilingual cookbook. The recipes would contain apples.

I want to use it to commenerate an author visit, Deborah Hopkinson. She wrote the book Apples to Oregon.

I have looked at a few other people’s thoughts and I am going to try blurb.com to make a cookbook. This site allows you to use artwork as well as photos. This will be an adventure.

Found good software 8 months ago

I’m making a lot of progress lately. I found some good software to help me out. I was using word processing programs, but they just weren’t cutting it. So I found Scribus online, and it’s a freeware desktop publishing tool. It works great once you figure out how to use it. I made a sample cover, although I’ll probably change it. I just wanted to get familiar with the program. I think this will help me a lot.

where do I begin to go about making a cookbook and getting it publish

First things first 16 months ago

I am working on my cookbook today. First I’m going to decide how I should organize it and what type of stuff I should put in it. I already have several recipes that I’ve used before, some printed off, and some bookmarked on the internet, but none printed up nice in word documents. That will be the second step.

I also need to think of a theme. I’m not really sure what I want.

I think I found the right publisher for my cookbook!

Great Source 2 years ago

I used www.TheSecretIngredients.com to make my cookbook. They have a lot of great cookbook options, and the one I made, I got to customize the cover and add a photo.
It was real easy; I had plenty of recipes to choose from. All you have to do is set up an account, which is free, and then put your recipes in. I made the smaller cookbook for my mom’s birthday. Considering the quality of the book, the prices are awesome. She loved it, and so did the rest of my family. I think I might re-order some for Christmas.
