exhibit my photography

The exhibition has been open for viewing the last two days, and the sale started tonight. Two of my works have already sold, and there is still another day to run.

The first one sold within the first half hour. I was standing across the room looking at someone else’s work and trying to keep an eye on my own stuff at the same time, when one of my neighbours passed by and we got talking. When I told my neighbour five minutes later that my work was included in the exhibition “just over there”, I saw that one had gone. It was quite an exciting moment!

Anyway, here’s a photo taken this afternoon before sales started. My photos are the two on the far left, and the two with black mattes at the top.

I will be exhibiting four pictures in a local community gallery’s fundraising sale. The organiser has confirmed acceptance of my work, and the prints are ready. Anyone who may be in the area in early December is welcome to attend the event.

I’ve just received some information about an opportunity to do this in early December. I’ll keep you posted.

before the end of next year

I’m just now starting to put the prints together as vertical diptychs and frame the singles. I’m beginning to see patterns in my work and know what I’m trying to do.

I was the featured artist at a local First Friday event. The artwork I exhibited included some of my photography, mixed media, and graphic design pieces. I sold three pieces and had a great time!

This will be my second show, and I’m very much excited with anticipation. This will be a collective exhibition, and four of my photos of the Carnival of Venice will be exhibited :)
