I was lucky enough to get to know a classical musician who was playing in the Orchestra of the first performance of a piece commissioned for Co. Wicklow in Ireland. Lovely evening and very enjoyable and nice to hear something new and different.

What I attended was a performance featuring some of the best known classical and and film soundtrack pieces – so classical for beginners I guess! I have gone to The Four Seasons in Italy and it was spectacular, in a stunning venue in Venice, so although not a total newbie, I hadn’t extended my musical reach on home ground. Glad I did now, it was very enjoyable. I guess the difference between going to see a concert and other musical events is that when you go to see a band peform, it is as much about the visual as the music – the stage show, the performance, what’s they’ll say, your idols.
Looks like it’s on the cards… Randomly, tickets seemed to appear on the doorstep/inbox today. A mix of true classics and music inspired from film culture. Really looking forward to it.
