build a sand castle

Building a sandcastle is not a bad way to kill some time at the beach. You just have to be willing to understand that you’re not a pro. Just have fun and do it!

Sandcastles

Everytime I try to build one, it ends up getting swept away by a wave before it’s even decent. So frustrating. :(

When we were in Guatemala, my daughter and I were amazed by the Mayan temples. So when we went to Belize later in the week, we just had to build a sand temple! With no tools, it’s much harder, but we found a piece of plastic, a stick, and a cup from the hotel.

With a few tools and some time you can actually build a beautiful sand castle. I’ve built several now, and find it is very relaxing and rewarding. The key: mix water with sand in a big pile, until it turns into a kind of cement. Then start carving!

I would like to take Bryan to Galveston with a bunch of those plastic buckets and shovels and spend the day making a sand castle or two in the summer of 2007.

I want to build a sand castle right near the waters edge, so that I can only dig so deep before water starts to fill the hole. I want to have a moat and a tunnel underneath the center of the castle. I want to build a giant hole with multiple layer walls around the hole.

this summer i built a sand castle with my first ever stable relationship. it was so nice. the castle looked horrible but the day- i will never forget!!! do it!

And I always made them too close to the waves. Next time…
