I actually have this book next to my bed. Just lazy.. that’s all.
How to read "Brave New World"
How I did it: Just went outside in the sun, sat down, and read. Also read before going to bed. Its not a long book, nor a particularly difficult one. I'd say its an essential read.
Resources: A friend's copy of Brave New World.

I read the whole book yesterday. I can say that I enjoyed it very much. I even went out today and bough “We” by Yevgeny Zamyatin, which is said to be the inspiration for the book.
Currently about 75% of the way through. I find the fact that it was written so long ago, but yet still reasonable when it comes to the “future”, interesting.
Another great book, I didn’t think it was slow at all. Not the happiest ending.
llong is growing slowly but surely
At first slow-moving, if not quaint, Huxley’s dystopian tale culminates into a perfectly tentative critique of modern society.
It’s an easy read, with both superficial and cute quips to produce the occasional smirk, and the deeper commentary to keep the reader pondering for a long time to come.

I think 1984 is better… its too scary for pre-sleep reading so I still haven’t finished it! (there are a few books that have fallen through the cracks that way).

it probably is in some schools. I read this while I was at Uni out of curiosity. I wasn’t happy with the ending but I probably wasn’t supposed to be. This isn’t a very intelligent critique of the book, but its late and don’t feel like being intelligent.
In my opinion. I think it’s a good idea to read them as a pair, though. Anyways, Brave New World is probably one of the best books that I’ve read.
Movie = not so great.

but I don’t think it was as good as 1984.

I started reading it while waiting to talk to a guidance counselor about a scholarship. Seems pretty interesting so far.
