Attend a World Series Game

I had tickets to Game 4 of the ALCS at Fenway. I owned them. They were tangible and in my hand. I won the right to buy them at face value. So, I live 2.5-3 hours from Boston and it’s an 8 o’clock game on a Tuesday night and I have to be at a meeting at 9am the next morning in Hartford. Needless to say, I can’t go. I sold the tickets to a friend of mine and I’ll be watching the game from my couch. Looks like I made a few steps back on this one.

I do have the last week of October off from work. This is more geared toward political volunteering, but if the Cubs are in the Series I’ll make it to a game.

The 1993 World Series in Toronto against the Phillies, when Joe Carter blew the roof off the Skydome with a homer in the bottom of the 9th inning to win the Series for the Blue Jays. It’s a story worth telling my grandchildren.

This is achievable, though it may be quite a while, since I will probably wait until the Cubs are in a World Series to go.

I attended the final game of the 2006 World Series and IT WAS AWESOME! It was by far the coolest experience of my life. Our tickets were suppose to be for game 4 but due to the game getting rescheduled they let us use our tickets for game 5! We bought the tickets for about $300 each when they were suppose to be game 4 tickets. The same tickets were going for a good $2000 after it had been rescheduled!

I’m a giant Mets fan and they have the best record in baseball, so I may have a shot at this one this season. I’m prepared to get anally raped and stubhub/ebay tickets if they make it.

This will wait until the Orioles get to the World Series. I think I have a long wait…oh well.
