How to finish reading all the books I own before reading new ones
How I did it: First I sorted books I've read before by ones that were mostly gifts. Then I gave away any books that I new I wasn't going to read. Lastly I made a pile of the books and read them, one by one. Luckily I read very fast.
Lessons & tips: Organisation is key.
Resources: A good bookshelf.

The funny thing is that I have stopped buying books for myself save for college texts, and used books keep popping up in my life that people just give to me.
Do you think these count? The used books are new to me…
Waiting for me on my bookshelf, luring and teasing me as I read through those ‘other’ books first. Each adventure tripping over itself and leading into the next as I draw thematic lines between seemingly disparate encounters.
So, I’ve realized that any desire to reign-in my hunger for books would be foolish, as it is twinned with my love of the artform itself.
Finished Confessions of an Economic Hitman and halfway through John Knowles’: A Separate Peace. Goodstuff.
I bought some new books since the last itme I made an entry about this, but I’ve also read alot of what I already have. Since January I’ve read 12 books! hope I can keep that up for the resat of the year and really get through these books I have stacking up.
This is a very admirable goal yet at the same time, impossible.
I don’t even know why I am marking this as a goal, because the chance that I won’t ever complete it far outweighs the possibility that I will.
For ever book I read, I buy two more. It’s a never ending cycle.
But then again, better to have more books than not enough. =]
I have been sick all day today. What better thing to do than catch up on my reading?
I finished Eclipse. It was good, though Jacob irritated the crap out of me. I didn’t like it as well as Twilight, but I liked it better than New Moon.
I bought another book, and haven’t finished reading any of the ones that I already had.
I remembered a couple books I forgot that I have and haven’t read. I also moved a couple books from the list that I’m currently working on to book that I haven’t started.
I’m currently working on:
1. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer
2. How to be Your Dog’s Best Friend by the Monks of New Skete
3. Valley of Secrets by Charmian Hussey
4. Divine Canine: The Monks’ Way to a Happy, Obedient Dog by The Monks of New Skete
Books I have, but not reading right now:
1. A Countess Below the Stairs by Eva Ibbotson
2. The Naming (Pellinor Series) by Alison Croggon
3. How Dogs Think by Stanley Coren
4. Beka Cooper: Terrier by Tamora Pierce
5. The Will of the Empress by Tamora Pierce
6. The Complete Novels by Jane Austen (it contains: Pride and Prejudice (already read), Sense and Sensibility, Mansfield Park, Emma, Northanger Abbey, Persuasion, and Lady Susan) (does this count as one book or seven?)
7. A Certain Slant of Light by Laura Whitcomb
8. This Is All by Aidan Chambers
9. Eldest by Christopher Paolini
10. Ironside by Holly Black
11. The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor
12. The Viking Warrior (Strongbow Saga) by Judson Roberts
I’m not actively reading This is All, so I’m putting it on the other list for now. I’ll pick it back up later. I’m almost finished with How to be Your Dog’s Best Friend, so I’ll soon be able to cross that off. I have to finish Eclipse by 26 December 2007, so that I can devote my reading attention to the Sweet, Far Thing (I can’t wait!).
