The reason being .. it’s easier and more convenient just have one at the moment. It’s easy and fun to keep in contact with friends, see new pictures, see how their life is going, find new music, etc.

How I did it: I went to "my account" settings and requested to close my account. Then they sent me an e-mail to confirm deletion. The said it would take up to 48 hours to delete, so I checked back after that time and saw that to my satisfaction, it was deleted. Read how I did it…

It had become a superficial, self-righteous beauty paegent. I now seem to spend so much more time procrastinating on 43things!

i did it.
i finally escaped the black hole known as myspace.
ok…
black hole might be a bit extreme.
but i did it.
and am glad i did.
there’s one more stress out of my life…
I just don’t see a point of keeping it.
Keeping in touch with old friends, sure .. but texting and calling is easy too. I guess the only real thing I like about it is being able to see new and updated pictures of the people you don’t often see. It’s kind of nice to see how they’ve changed or how their children are growing up. So, I guess eventually I want to delete it. I’ll make sure I get everyones number so that I can still keep in touch..
1. Make a list of the people I actually care to keep in touch with on MySpace
2. Message these people and find out their e-mail/website/phone numbers info
3. Delete MySpace

it’s been much less destructive to me over the year as it used to be but it might be a relief to get rid of it. i think it’s time to admit that myspace is a thing of the past.
lulubell is a very bad 43thinger but if you PM me I will add you to facebook.
I didn’t completely delete it but I deleted all of my pictures and scaled everything way back. So it’s there for me to get all of my contacts off of and I would like to back up my blog.
I just don’t have the time to do all of that now so… I consider this accomplished, even though it’s not 100%.
I will once I get all my contacts information and my blog entries!
I deleted mine about a year ago. Everyone who I want to talk to, I talk on AIM, phone, or in person. I don’t need myspace for me to get people to judge me about how many “friends” I have. Even the pictures I put up, got people to get mad at me for not inviting them out. I would never get myspace again.
