ok here we go.. going over to my girl’s house with my other friend.. and we are so about to stay up all night :)
How to pull an all nighter
How I did it: Just drank a bunch of pepsi.. that stuff kept me up alll night... We just talked and talked about a bunch of stuff and the time went by sooo fast, around 6 we were still awake to pull a little prank on her parents, they thought it was funny. But at about 11 in the afternoon, we all fell asleep :) But it was funnnn

especially if you’re finishing up a project. I’ve done it several times – and it was all for school!
I guess it’s only worth it depending on what you do.
leader at a youth lock in… need i say more? :-) lots of pop and karaoke. I would recommend not going to sleep right after. try to stay up until a “normal” bed time, otherwise you won’t be able to sleep the next night either. 38hours awake…never thought i could add that to my list.
... and I’m planning when I’m going to do this. Although I’d love to just do it spur of the moment, I like to plan it in my head, what I’d like to do. Sad really…
Since my uni deadline is in days time, and since I’ve been getting up at 5:30am everyday to go into uni, it seems a little pointless to do it now. Besides, not got a great deal left to do anyway.
So when I do pull my all nighter, I’m either going to write my novel or animate something random. Either seems good. And I’m going to put on films, and in between working, I’m going to bake, either cake or caramel biscuits, then have a massive slice at about 4am… sad really, to think so much about such a small act…

I never actually gave this much consideration before now. I’ve done this tons of times, whether to study, or complete some asignment that I procrastinated on (i.e. MANY assignments), or just by not realising that the night was going by (this is usually in the vacation or some other fun time…on the other occasions I would be watching the time and willing it to go slower so that I would have enough time to finish my work!!)
But it’s worth it either way…I get to finish my work or have fun! The sleepiness the next day can be counteracted with caffeine!! Although, it’s not really good to have the caffeine (whether coffee, tea etc) during the night. I realised (finally) that this would only give me a short boost of ‘awake-ness’ and then I would get REALLY DROWSY. It’s much better to have just water or juice.
Being in college has helped a lot out on this. If you smoke, it can keep you up, likewise, coffee ain’t bad, the only thing that turns to shit is the next day.
I was close… but I still wasn’t quite there. I made it to about 5 AM but I just couldn’t handle anymore. I ended up passing out on my friend’s parents’ bed in her basement LOL
for studying. I’ve even pulled consecutive all-nighters. I know it’s really bad for you. But I guess this is the reason I can’t complete my other goal, “get more sleep.”
To do this (for academic reasons), I would advise drinking lots of water (periodically, not all at once). Getting up to go to the bathroom keeps you awake. And eating apples helps, too – the natural sugar is better than soda or coffee (though you COULD do it that way, I wouldn’t recommend it; you’ll crash later). Through the wee hours of the morning, when your hands and feet start getting really cold, wear a warm hat and socks (you lose the most body heat through your head and feet), and switch to drinking hot water.
Of course, if you’re doing this just for fun, you don’t need to do all that and you could find other ways to stay awake, as part of the fun. (:
I’ll be sure to sleep in the summer. The good thing is, having to pull all-nighters sure makes you realize the value of a good night’s sleep.
(On a side note, and as a reminder to myself when I have more time, I need to write entries for my other goals – particularly #2, #3, and #34 on my list…)
It was okay, nothing special. I was quite tired afterwards and slept for a long time. The longest I’ve stayed up is 27 hours soo.
