maxx233I think I've done it!

OK, well, I’m not sure ;) When I was in NYC I saw Joshua Radin in concert, and he talked about “Whisper Rock” as being his genre because he doesn’t fall into others so well. He said to spread the word. So I made a wikipedia page. Granted it’s like 3 weeks later, but I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff (chuckle) So yeah, I think I made one… my references aren’t showing up, and I can’t upload the image I want to upload cause I’m too new… but it seems to be on the site at least :) Hopefully it doesn’t get deleted for lack of references until I can figure that out! 4 years ago

Ken ChenMy town

Well, decided, I’ll write an article about the history of my town, San José de David, capital city of Chiriqui province all the way since being just an indian village when the spaniards arrived. Did a piece when I was at high school and I just found it the other day while decluttering my room. 5 years ago

lauranenWhat a reckless move!

I was so sure I already has this on my list, but apparently no.. I’ve wanted to contribute to Wikipedia for ages, and today I completed a big makeover for one of the articles.

Orin ZebestEsma Redzepova

When I found out the Great and Good Wiki didn’t have an article on Miss Red-ye-pova, I had to add this to my to-do list. Surprising that they didn’t — considering she’s been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize (twice), performed more than 8000 concerts in 30 countries, fostered 47 children, created more than 500 works, and is probably one of the few people on Earth who shares direct Jewish, Christian, and Muslim roots.

I know this because now Wikipedia knows this.

Not that I could do everything. I know some, but I don’t have time to find the proper references to validate that her and husband Stev-o Teo-whats-his-name got crowned King and Queen Gypsy in India in 19-seventy-someodd. None of those have articles, either. Seems that for every article that gets written two more need to be wrote. A clever, clever scheme, Wikimasters…

Incidentally, if you know anything about twentieth century Roma singer-songstresses whose name’s rhyme with Hed-ye-over, well, Hed-ye-ova. 6 years ago

faduciMore work than I expected

I added an entry for the frog design agency to the English wikipedia while looking up industrial designers. Although the whole article is just 28 lines long, it took about two hours to check all the infos, create links to designs from frog, check the links etc. The technical part (writing the text) was the easiest.

I had modified other entries before, usually fixing some minor mistakes or adding facts which did not require a lot of checking. I’ve been reluctant since then to create more entries (lazy), but consider it a good exercise in research. 7 years ago
