figure out what makes me happy

Friends coming over for dinner and spending most of the time laughing till it hurts!

I feel like slapping somebody today.

Totally loving the post card thing!!! So far Ive recieved 3 from other countries and Ive sent 5. My most recent recieved is Portugal. Its awesome!! Ill try to post the cards on here so everyone can see them too : )

I was looking on here at the whole getting postcards from other states and countries, and i think that would be an awesome way to get to know new people. The website I got from someone else is
www.postcrossing.com If anyone has done this please let me know. I think collecting postcards and meeting people would be something that would put a smile on my face. I also want to start having a penpal. Like….the actual writing of letters, not emails or phone calls and such. ....is planning surpirse visits home
....is seeing beautifully coloured tulips every morning on my drive to work.
....is watching people do thoughtful things for others that surprise them and make them smile.

Because in the end being happy and doing exactly what you want it the most important thing. And I don’t mean sitting on your butt wishing you were happy or thinking you’re happy doing absolutely nothing. I mean trying hard and being happy with what you can achieve when you work and do something productive that you love.

I know what I want. I know what I like. And this, my friends…is very hard for others to understand or accept sometimes.

I don’t know the answer to that question, really. I need to do some soul searching and discover what makes me truly happy. What do I already have in my life that makes me happy? my family, my job, good photography…what things am I missing that would make me happier? That is what I need to figure out.

Knowing that I only have to get through this last 8 hours shift at work before I’m on vacation for a week in Sunny Puerto Plata Dominican.
Thank God for tax returns!!!
