It is waaaay cheaper to just buy thermal curtains, so that’s what we’re doing. Bought them last night and they cost me about a third of what making them would have. That and the fabric selection was nicer! 3 months ago

Our windows are thin, so I want to hang up nice thick curtains as extra insulation. We already measured the windows, so now to look for fabric!
Also, our window wells are really deep, so I was hoping to hang the curtains inside of them. Because of that, I need to look for curtain rods that can attach to the wall on the ends or from the top of the window well. Tension rods won’t work because we’re using heavier fabric and our windows are HUGE. On the order of 7’ x 6’ huge, so I need something that can hold a good deal of weight. If the window well idea doesn’t work, I’ll just hang the curtains up near the ceiling and make the windows look even bigger! 4 months ago
