I want to pass the Praxis II 3 months ago

I’ve never taken this test, and I have been out of school for a few years. So I need to buckle down and study! I took the CBEST and passed with flying colors, but the Praxis seems much, much more difficult.

have ?'s on praxis 14 months ago

okay, this is all new to me. i’d like to be able to become a teacher’s assistant but i have no ideal on where to start. all i’ve heard or read is the praxis 2. i’d like to get a certificate in teaching elementary grades. how in the world do you begin? my brain feels overloaded right now. thanks!

Pass the Praxis II Math 16 months ago

I DID pass the Praxis II Math exam. I studied for about four months, got out my old textbooks and Schaums, bought a TI 84 for Dummies book, and used the sample problems and answers from www.praxisiimath.com

If you want to teach you have to pass the appropriate Praxis, so take it seriously so you won’t have to take it over again.

Good luck,
Jay

A month 16 months ago

I have about a month to study. It’s so hard to study when I have papers and other classes to worry about. I’m so worried!

Praxis ii for the third time 18 months ago

I am once again preparing to take the praxis ii code 0011 for the third time. It has been stated if I don’t pass I don’t student teach and I don’t graduate. I need help seriously.

I HOPE I PASSED 2 years ago

Well I woke up at 5:30am to take the praxis. By now I was familiar with the routine since this is my fucking third time. I was very annoyed by the whole situation and I avoided talking to anyone. I saw one woman meditating. I thought that was a pretty good idea. I just wanted to empty my mind of all distractions. The test was hard as usual and I found myself guessing on quite a few questions. I just hope this was the last fucking time I have to take this exam. I will know in four weeks if I Passed.

My third time 2 years ago

This Saturday, April 28, 2007 will be my third time taking the English Language Literature and Composition exam. I will have two hours to answer 120 questions. That means I only have about one minute per question. This does not include the passages I have to read in order to answer the questions. I don’t think that this exam is a good way to measure my intelligence. I have a bachelors degree in English. I think that is enough.
I am so angry that I have to pay to take this exam again. My confidence is shaken and I am feeling a lot of self-doubt.

You just need to pass it, that's it don't worry about getting a perfect score. 2 years ago

YEAH!

I PASSED!

I passed all three sections on the first try! And I’ve only taken three classes in the education program so far!

These are the exams I took:
0011 Elem Ed Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
0012 Elem Ed Content Area Exercises
0522 Principles of Learning & Teaching (PLT) K-6

I used the Kaplan PRAXIS 2005 Edition study guide for PPST & PLT. I probably put in half a dozen hours reveiwing for the test. I did not take any “test prep” classes.

0011 is easy. 0012 is challenging. 0522 is tough—I barely squeaked by on that one, lots of specialized terminology.

So, if you’re thinking about it, just sign up and give it a shot! Worst case scenario—you’ll have to take it again! And you’ll pass it for sure the second time, because you’ll know what you’re getting in to!

Hope this info is helpful or inspiring! Good luck!
