I have made my health my first priority, because my body is the only body that I will have for the rest of my life, and it deserves the respect and love that I would give to anyone else.
It really is a full lifestyle change, isn’t it? I’m game :)
It is the first week in August. I slept in the front guestbedroom/office tonight because the mattress cover & sheets were in the dryer. I woke up at around 4:40. I’ve been very depressed lately because I lost a job that I had waited to start for months. I had so much for this job. It meant so much to me. I trained out of town and worked across the state for about a month. I was living out of extended stay hotels with the kids, but it was worth it. I was so busy with work, I had even lost a few pounds. Then, one night when I was walking into to my hotel, I got a call from an outsourced HR company telling me not to come into work in the morning. No warning, no hint at all that anything was wrong before that call. I was stunned. I am still stunned. I put my trust in this company. I believed in my work. I was proud of what I had prepared for months to do.
Since that call, I have worried and stressed over money and health (my benefits were days away from kicking in). Since I’ve been home, I’ve been eating for comfort and not moving much. In addition to the hurt of losing my job, I am not feeling well and my house is a mess. I want to get my self in order emotionally in physically for my own sake first and for my beautiful children as well.
not be in shape. If that is a result of my healthy lifestyle, mentally, physically, spiritually, then, by all means…give me a six pack too!

I want to include more healthy foods into my diet as well as squeeze some outdoor acitivity into my schedule. This would exclude walking the trash can to the curb. :)
MrsSonnakolb is having a family dinner with Eric, Pam, Kaylee, Jason, and Mary!
I think its on everyone’s new years resolution list every year. But after a bad year of some medical stuff, I realized that I don’t just need to lose weight but I need to live a healthier lifestyle. A year and half ago I lost 40 pounds and was doing alot better so I know I can do it! But then I got engaged, started a new job, and had alot of other stressful things going on in my life. I am back on track and while its hard, I am positive I can live a healthy lifestyle.

PRIL79 thinking ... (don't you see the smoke)
Well i was doing great a few years ago but now i’m smoking again, not working out, and eating what ever is around.
so what i would like to see happen is
1. smoking thing needs to be put out for good. what helped me last time was being positive about it not saying i quit smoking that as a negative undertone. so i want to breath healthy air!!!
2. Workout – tap alone don’t cut it, not even the new class i started in aerobics. the girl who teaches the aerobics class is a personal trainer and friend of mine. the nice thing is our boss let all the workers do this at work.. :) but i need to do what she says like work out 4 days a week! mainly i just want to use my stepper for 15 minutes every morning.
3. Eat right – i need to suck it up and start cooking again. i know my partner would love breakfast and a made lunch with dinner. I just don’t know how feaseable that is.. If i didn’t work so much so I’m open for suggestions… how does one who is gone 9 hours at least every day get all 3 meals from home. now i’m not on any sort of diet i just want to eat right healthy.
so these are the things i would like to take on with this goal..
one at a time!
open for suggestions on how to cook at home in very little time and keep the kitchen clean…

I need to start getting more serious with this goal, because it seems as if whenever I think I’m making progress in leaps and bounds, I do something stupid that makes me feel like I haven’t gained any traction at all. “Discipline weighs ounces but regret weighs tons” is what goes through my mind whenever I experience one of these slip-ups. I know that most people will say that being to rigid in your routine takes the fun out of it, but I would have to disagree. I think if it’s truly a goal you’re committed to, then only through being rigid and experiencing measurable results do you find any fun/pleasure.

The more I focus on what I’m eating, the more I start thinking about staying away from meat altogether. I love meat, but I’m starting to dig tofu and it’s health benefits.

Arianna asks,
“I'm a college student and I am preparing to go to bed at 12 and wake up at 8 on weekdays. I know it would be best to do that every day,but if I went to bed around 2ish and woke up at 9ish on weekends, would it make much difference?”
