Weight has always been the big battle of my life, controlling my every thought and move on most days. It all started when I tasted the sweet nectar of losing 60 pounds by the end of my senior year of high school and seeing how much better life was as a thin person. Since then, 15 years ago now (Wow, time flies!), my weight has been way up to way down to perfect to downright massive. It’s a constant struggle and battle and I am simply tired of the distraction and want to rid of it for good!

I’ve discovered my obesity is directly related to my personal growth issues, as I am quite addicted to sugars and carbs (can you say soda, chocolate, cookies?)to numb to inner pain I’ve carried with me all my life. So inner and outer work have to happen at the same time.

I’m tall and built to have muscle, but I lied to myself too long. Wearing less revealing clothes, not looking in the mirror much at all. I think I’m actually an okay person inside. I’d love to feel that way about my appearance too. :]

I’m joining a gym this week! I’m so close to my goal weight that not only have I stopped losing, I am becoming more and more aware of how badly I need to tone myself as well as trim. Shopping tomorrow for workout clothes!

142! That makes 13 pounds left until I reach my goal, 69 pounds lost over all, and 62 pounds lost from my starting point. I can’t believe I’m so close!
