I`ve attempted this. But I never know well enough what to order, and upon that confusion, i just want to get out of that embarressment a.s.a.p. I wish though. I have a friend who works at a coffee shop by our ferry, and he keeps a sketch book around the shop, so people can write a letter, or draw something for the shop. It`s a very friendly atmosphere. I just wish it wasn`t so far away. And that I knew what to order…

that I plan to start going to coffee shops more often.
“Why?” she said.
“Because,” I replied. “I want to get out and do something fun for myself. I want to check out some books from the library, take them with me to the coffee shop and read them over a mocha latte every day.”
“You can’t fool me,” she said. “You just want to meet someone.”

doing this. I live in a small town with only one coffee shop, called “Uptown”. The first and last time I went in there and ordered a cappucino, the girl behind the counter took one look at me and said with a smirk, “You know this is strong; it’s not like the cappucino at gas stations.”
Now I know I wasn’t dressed too great that day and my hair wasn’t fixed, but that was still a very snotty thing to say. She shouldn’t have implied that I’ve never had a strong coffee in my life and look down on me like that. I took my capuccino and haven’t been there since. My conclusion: the uptown folks are jerks.
But she was just some jerk teenager with a rich daddy or something. Maybe she’s gone by now. Heh, maybe I should try for a job there. I shouldn’t base my opinion of the entire place just on this one dumb girl. I could be enjoying a mocha latte every morning. I’m going to go back and start spending time there. Then I’ll see for sure what kind of people hang out at Uptown
