DarkDogToshi's ear

is a bit red. I’ve gotta watch that – see if it gets better or if I’ll have to get it checked.

Meanwhile, here’s a picture of Yuuki, the amazing flying cat ;) 4 weeks ago

DarkDogCat pillow

The other morning I discovered the boys basking in some morning sun. That looked so nice, I layed down on the rug with them. Well, soon after Mr Toshi snuggled into the bend of my arm in such a way, that I could put my head on his warm belly (not hard of course). Such a nice pillow :) It was very sweet. 3 months ago

DarkDogThe boys' visit

to the Vet was today. They were so not happy.

But their general health check showed no problems at all – yay ! 4 months ago

DarkDogSince the boys don't need

any vaccination shots this year, I decided to bring them to the Vet for a general health check instead. This will be next week. I haven’t told them yet… 4 months ago

DarkDogYuuki

got sick again, seemingly with the same thing he had only a few weeks before.

When I took him to the Vet, he once again was running a high fever and had noticeably lost weight.

This time we decided to run some blood tests on him to see if we can figure out what is causing this.

Then he got antibiotics and fever reducers again. Thankfully once again he reacted really quick to those and felt better soon.

The first test results all came in negative and these were the biggies. The last one got somehow delayed at the lab and I just got it on Friday. And wouldn’t you know it, that last one was a positive.

So he’s got a viral infection going on, which left me… in a very bad spot when I first heard that. So I arranged for a full consultation with the Vet.

He answered my 1000 questions as best as he could and I feel much calmer now. The most important things he said were:
  • If one of the tests had to come up positive this is by far the best one.
  • Him having this virus, with the immunizations he has, is not something that lowers his life expectancy.

So I just have to keep an eye on him and if it flares up again, take him to the Vet to keep a fever in check.

But he seems perfectly fine now, jumping around like a crazy cat :) 9 months ago
