stop wearing my hair in a ponytail all the time

On friday i went with two of my friends to watch the one get her hair dyed brown. IT looks so good. And well i decided out of the blue after a bit of coaxing to get my hair cut while there. This is rather monumental because my mom always cuts my hair and well this was the first time i ever got it done by someone else!!! It looks so good and forces me to at least attempt to do it everyday. HA HA HA… My mom was not very happy and really won’t say much to me at all!!! Such a pity she can’t yell!! Yay!! Wearing my hair in a pony tail is looking like a thing of the past. It looks good and really makes me feel good about myself!

Well, I’ve been trying to keep it down and only have half up today. But, with the summer coming and soccer, my hair will be crappy all the time do to the fact that i have no one to impress. OH well my dog and cat don’t care what i look like. Hopefully i can keep it down anyway. I really didn’t look at it today just threw it up in Spanish. Oh well i was told it looks good. Yes, just confirmed that it does “look cute!” Thanks Jess!

The key to this one is having on hand whatever you need to keep your hair under control.
For me this meant stocking up on product/hair gel before the jar ran out so I could wash and tame my very curly hair and not resort to scraping it into a ponytail for a week until I got to the shops.
I also had to be less fussy with the hair product I use. Instead of waiting to go to the 1 shop that stocks the brand I like, I bought some cheaper (and actually just as effective) stuff for those interim periods.
So simple really…but life changing for my hair!

So far, the main progress on this goal is that when I go to 43things and see the goal on my list, I think “oh, yeah!” and take the ponytail down.

I get compliments whenever I wear it down, but since it’s long, I usually just put it back in a ponytail. I’ve started putting it up in a bun with hairsticks lately. I just need to stop myself from using those damn elastics.
