Search for the Loch Ness Monster

I didn’t see her, but Loch Ness is so beautiful that this is more than worth doing.

I have to admit, though, that I spent far more time looking at my brand new husband.

Is it really there? Probably not, but you can never be sure… Headed for Loch Ness in two weeks.

We took the Loch Ness tour boat guide in 1993. It wasn’t exactly a “high speed” History Channel expedition, but I was on the Loch and looking for the monster.

I’d love to go back and do a proper search without tourists.

Just got back from Scotland. Got to go to Loch Ness. We took a boat past Urquhart Castle to the deepest part of the loch, nearly 800 feet. Mountains spring up from the shores of the loch and the scenery’s amazing. However, the land around the loch is built up somewhat—with tourist shops and hotels and restaurants, etc. Still, it was awesome. Loch Ness is huge and the water’s extremely dark. If you were to fall in you wouldn’t be able to see the surface from any more than two feet under.

WHOAH! I’m going to Scotland in July and heading up towards Loch Ness. It’s gonna be awesome! Can’t wait! The water’s so dark and deep and mesmerizing. I hope I don’t fall in or I might be eaten.

Even if all I see is an abnormal ripple, or all I hear a strange coo, or even if I only catch a glimpse of something strange out of the corner of my eye – I will be satisfied.
