Daniel Spils back from NYC & DC
I went to college (go me!) and yet my school didn’t have frats or sororities. Boo hoo. So, I went to one frat party at University of Washington. It more or less sucked. I felt like a punch was going to land in the back of my head most the night. So I drank a bit too much as a coping mechanism.
Later in life I played in a a couple of bands that were hired to play frat parties. With an open mind I attended, played and generally had a good time. Probably because I was in the band and people wanted us there. In one of the bands, I was the only college graduate and my fellow bandmates found it an amazing experience—something they had missed out on. I tried to explain to them that it ain’t all that. They would have none of my naysaying. It’s hard to convince your dishwasher/drummer buddy that rolling out of bed with no job and a house full of babes, beer and bongs is anything but heaven.
I always found frats a bit depressing and longed to get back to a more balanced life where men and women interacted without the use of flip flops or sweat pants.
Karina this WILL is confusing my life...lol
I go to a lot to Frat parties the last one I went to was Boo Bash..its was going great until the cops came…blah!
I went to a Frat party…....and a good ole house party too.
Not that bad. In general the basements are gross. But it was fun….you have to do it at least once!
They are something, I’ll say that. Though I did meet some great guys that I’m still friends with now at them…yes they were/are brothers of the house too.
Try it. You may hate it, you may love it. I think frat parties are fun, but definitely something I could live without. Go to one just to have the experience.
