Adrienne did not enjoy the ending of Torchwood this week
I was a nursing Mom for 5 years since I extended and tandem nursed my kids. I had a fear of something happening to me and my infants having to be put on yucky formula. So, I pumped and stored milk. Milk can only be stored for so long, so I contacted the Mother’s Milk Bank in Denver, which is the closest milk bankto me. I donated much of my milk from the first year of my daughter’s life.
When I had my son, I again pumped for storage and donation. I had to go on a special diet with him, so they loved my dairy-free milk! After he turned a year, I stopped pumping.
Then, my nephews needed some milk, so I pumped at that point, but my son was around 2 years old and my supply was not great.
I’m no record holder for milk ounces donated, but I’m still proud of what I did.
